Re: Whiskey trades...

Yes, Jeff, I am familiar with the concept of half track or quarter trak mono/stereo recording on a reel for the budget conscious but somehow do not think that whoever was taping this at the Whiskey was sitting there ready to do so ( flip). But maybe so...just sittin and thinking,,bChange a reel perhaps ...maybe, but other than '5' who claims to be able to do it in a heartbeat, I think you'd have lost more than that of FYL trying to flip it overb. Of course, again this is all pure speculation....not being able to decipher on what corculating so far what EV shows as the master reel can't tell what length tape was possibly used. There is one citrus individual who is stating it as fact that not a second wqas missing, but other than that claim, have you heard any ruminations as to where/who this tape originated from ? It would be lovely to know the whole history of it, as it is, well, historic.

Hey, just hoping that there IS more, especially in this good quality.

Just can't stay away from the adrenaline buzz this has given me,

And some more questions have filled my head since.
on UU, the review mentions that the EV art has a picture of a reel to reel as the source of this......so, for all those who think that the cut in For Your Love was a tape flip.... dang, I didn't know you flipped reel to reels !?

Yeah, you do. Well not necessarily flip them, but
change tapes. Can't remember the specifics and I'm too
lazy to look them up, but there is a fairly common
combination of tape length and tape speed that gives
around 45 min of length, similar to a 90min cassette.
