"L.A. Breakdown" dates from a 1965 recording session featuring Jimmy Page,
Jeff Beck, and former members of Cyril Davies's All-Stars (Carlo Little,
Cliff Barton, and Nicky Hopkins). It was basically an informal jam
session, never intended for release. However, the tapes eventually ended
up in the hands of Andrew Oldham (Page's boss at the time) who subsequently
released them on various compilations ("White Boy Blues," etc.)
The other songs from that session were "Down In The Boots," "Steelin',"
"Chuckles" and "Piano Shuffle".
Jimmy produced all the songs, but there have been conflicting reports over
his contributions on guitar (if any).
Hope this helps,
Scott
