Au contraire, Pierre. DGM has been known to make some
"big company-like" decisions, such as shedding acts
that aren't moving product from their catalogue. For
all his self-righteousness, Fripp's a businessman,
too.

By the way, somebody mentioned that Jones and Fripp
were collaborators. Really? When? Where?

True, but he doesn't strike me as the kind of cat who
would look to trade in on his past. Seems to embody
the "ever onward" spirit more than Pudgy Pagey or
Percy in that regard.

Hell, I'm convinced that most of the people on this
list hate Led Zeppelin and are only fans by default
because they're so jiggy over Jimmy Page.

mean that he can't, but everything he's done has

evidence in his favor, but that _was_ a long time ago.

Easy, Tiger (see Timmy-kins? I call all the guys
"Tiger" not just special types like you.) Let's judge
Mr. Jones on what he's done lately. Hip arranger and
producer for the likes of REM and Butthole Surfers.
(Vinod's right - the BS album rocks the house) His
string arrangements on Automatic for the People are
sublime. I'm not a big Diamanda fan, but the music on
Sporting Life is first rate. I'd say his recent work,
plus his comments about the new album, should inspire
positive anticipation from those on this list with an
open mind. All five or six of us.

Plus when you look back over Zep's catalogue, there's
nary a clunker in the bunch when you review the songs
that credit JPJ as a co-writer. Misty Mountain Hop,
Trampled, No Quarter, SIBLY, etc., etc.

Love,
Billy
