Yippee! More support for "Carouselambra"! It's Jones' finest song,
easy. Not only are all the synths cool (arguably, I know that's why a
lot of you dislike the song), but if you ignore them you get an _AWESOME_
bassline. Combined with hard drumming, Jimmy's distorted guitar (I love
that part), and the aforementioned lyrics from Plant, you get a giant,
epic, surreal mess of a song that rocks like nothing ever heard before.
Kick-ass!
My favorite Plant lyrics are the ones in which he shows his
sense of humor. That's not a rip on stuff like "All My Love" or
"Achilles Last Stand", but I love stuff like "Hot Dog" or "Candy Store
Rock" or "Black Country Woman" which always make me laugh. "Fool in the
Rain" may be the best one for that. "Battle of Evermore"'s lyrics, on
the other hand, have always impressed me.
why does love got to be so sad,
