Hello, All !
Many of you have sent letters about LZ's tingle moments and I heard
somebody's idea to mention Robert Plant's solo work in this collection :
1. "Slow dancer". This is my favourite Robert's song (I have at least four
approxomately equally favourite ones in his solo career). This masterpiece
is full of such moments we all like : the beginning, the part beginning
with words "In the sunset from a lake" (the greatest vocals !!!), the guitar
solo before "No, no, no, no!" and the rest of the song after these words.
This is the top !!! You can disagree with me, but I think "Slow dancer" is
more interesting and deep (as music) than "Kashmir". I'd like to hear your
remarks on my opinion.
2. "Like I've never been gone". This is also my favourite Robert's song.
The ending part begining when Robert sings "I can, I can..." and the guitar
solo after that are overwhelming. This song was the first song that I loved
from "Pictures at Eleven" after the first listening.
3. "Horizontal departure". This is simply a fantastic one. Those who heard it
can understand me. The vocals are genial. The way how Robert sings words
"And now you still surround the apple of my eye" is something.
My sister (she is 11 now) said that this was Michael Jackson.
I laughed as I never laughed.
4. "Anniversary". As I noticed, the absolute magic of this great song is
evident on the sound volume when the walls are diddering. This song is the
one that may seem rather average after the first listening, but after the
fifth it would seem the best song you've ever heard. I passes through such
moment with this song. Great, simply great !!! The song made of tingle
moments !
5. "Calling to you". You understand.
6. There are MORE !!!
Best wishes !!!
Andrey
