Oh boy. If I had spent that much money on a book I most certainly would 
use gloves. Well I work in a museum and have this branded in my brain. 
Conservation techniques and all. NEVER handle paper with bare hand if 
it's meant to be kept for a long time.

I must say my inner museologist and the painter in me*, was cringing a 
bit when I watched that video Rick posted. I would never handle this 
book like that (putting it on it's spine or holding in one handed etc. 
But then you paid for it you handle it as you wish.

* I always handle artwork with utmost respect too, be it mine or anyone 
else's, be it daVinci or next door's neighbour's kid.
