Ah but it's all a question of taste. I though Waters live was just a
morose, brooding, self-congratulatory bore but Floyd without him was
still Floyd minus the bad vocals. Yes, I know he wrote the better songs,
but as an overall listening experience, the post-Waters Floyd was fine
with me and with most people I know.
Then again there are those who feel anything post Syd is not Floyd, just
as there are Stones dans who feel nothing done since Brian Jones left is
valid (I listened to Voodoo Lounge this afternoon and thought it was
tremendous).
