Re: Robert

EXCELLENT TOPICS and things to ponder.

So come on folks... come out of lurkdom and show your colors...or at least
that you exist.

I know lotsa folks are doing the vacation/holidays thing, but this is an
ongoing topic that can keep us busy well into next year ..

to infinity and beyond.

I got some sxtuff to do, but later today will certainly respond in more
detail with what I have heard about the things below.

any rehashing of the Zep reunion/coulda/woulda/shoulda posts:

about - from the event of the recording to the trading of the tapes. When
fragments of some shows exist, like Seattle 72 for example - is it likely
that more of these shows exist?
>
> 2) About the Tapers - I'd like to hear more about the people and their
stories (second hand) that helped to bring us live shows that otherwise many
of us would never know. Millard from SoCal and Stan from Seattle would be a
couple to start with. Also would like to know about the east coast tapers.

> 3) Video - I've heard that the 1977 Detroit Pontiac Silverdome and Houston
Summit shows may have jumbotron feeds that were recorded and that some folks
have seen some or all of this. Is there any information about this here? I
have a family member and a friend that were at both of these shows.
> Also, for the powerhouse shows that happened at the LA Forum does any
video exist more than fragments found on Cosmic Energy's series? I realize
the band probably loathed video taping after the low yield rush job at MSG
in '73, but what about amateur film taken from the crowd or side stage by
the groupies, roadies, press? Seems that the May 31 '73 Forum gig with
Bonzo's Birthday would have been one that somebody would have captured.
Does the complete NBC news footage of MSG 75 Rock n Roll - the complete
song - which the snippet was taken? It appears to be the best quality of any
'75 video. The LA Forum 6-23-77 show has quite a few fragments, including
some revealing moments like when Robert was messing around on drums while
Keith Moon was front stage talking to the audience. Does more of this source
exist. The LA 6-26 show final encore It'll Be Me exists, and there appears
to be two sources. Do more of this source(s) exist, like other songs from
the same show?
>
> 4) Dialog with fans and band related employees/contractors that were at
some of the famous/infamous shows, just to name a few: any 68 show, any 69
show, LA Forum any/all, Seattle any pre-77 show, MSG any/all (I printed off
your '77 MSG experience and kept it), Germany '73 and '80, Earls Court '75,
Knebworth '77. Pics of fans and the band from the show, t-shirts, stubs,
any memorabilia.
>
> 5) Eddie Edwards - who is he, how did he become a guru on Zep, and where
is he now? Same questions for Luis Rey, and others that are Zep historians.
>
> These are just a few off the top that I have an interest in. I understand
FBO may have members that can speak to some of these points with authority
or at least some close, perhaps in-the-know knowledge.
