yes, to be honest with you i never hooked back up to itunes after i started using winamp to get my flacs on the ipod, so i did not mention that itunes would probably re-hijack your ipod upon it's first opportunity to do so. :)
i don't really use my ipod for anything other than zep live shows or other flac downloads i make. i do have another ipod nano that i do use with itunes for music my daughter listens to when we go out in the car, but since that ipod is only a 2gb one i don't even bother using it for flac stuff.
i guess the upshot is that you CAN listen to the flacs with the help of winamp syncing and still utilize itunes if need be. i am not sure how the rockbox firmware syncs up and what you can do with that after the fact...i guess i was just throwing my tip out there for anyone interested!
