First of all, I couldn't agree with this more:
Robert Plant is an absolutely brilliant and fascinating man who has a
highly evolved set of professional ethics. He exudes personal class,
style and grace. His life and creative accomplishments are indeed
nothing short of a master stroke.
I may not like everything that Plant has done, but when he is gone one day we
will all look back and agree that he was a class act and a creative genius, who
made music for the right reasons, and explored different genres with ease and
grace. I am hoping for a Best Album Grammy (and multiple Grammy Awards) for
Plant/Krauss, not because I like the music, but because I would like to see him
rewarded for two things: 1) his courage in exploring new musical terrain, and
2) for his strength in standing up to his convictions.
I also agree that he only did the O2 reunion to honor Ertegun, and we will
likely never see him reunite with Zeppelin again.
Hats off to the best rock and roll singer ever, who lives life according to his
own rules.
