I agree...
I spent a good portion of my morning today watching the dvd included
with the "Nine Lives" collection. Three things occurred to me.
1. Robert will never recreate Led Zeppelin in any form ever again and
the only reason he did it at the 02 was because of his love, admiration
and loyalty to Ertugen. It really comes across in this documentary how
important Ertugen was to Robert. And absent a reason such as that, I
just don't see Robert doing it until he is lost of all other
inspiration. And if there is one thing we have all come to really learn
about Robert since 1982 is his manic nirvana when it comes to all of the
twists and turns life has to offer someone with his musical curiosity.
2. 29 Palms is about Alanis Myles.
3. Robert Plant is an absolutely brilliant and fascinating man who has a
highly evolved set of professional ethics. He exudes personal class,
style and grace. His life and creative accomplishments are indeed
nothing short of a master stroke.

The media tends to play with words, and purposely ask wrong questions
to get a headline answer. This may be the case with Becks quote.
Jimmy has made it clear that if a new project was to come, whatever it
is, it isn't Led Zeppelin. Not without Robert. No need to say things
about what Robert would, or would not allow. It has no credence, as it
is not an issue.

Why is Jeff Beck commenting on something that isn't going to happen?
Either he's a moron or he's trying to get some self pity and attention.
Everyone knows that Plant won't allow the band to use the Led Zeppelin
name without him. All Jimmy is trying to do is put an album out with a
bass player he worked with in another band and a drummer who he did an
album and a tour with 20 years ago.
Basically, the press are trying to sabotage Jimmy's efforts of working
on an album by calling it a Led Zeppelin reunion.
Take Care
