I think another big reason is that Plant, given the mindset he seems to have
been in for the past 9 going on 10 years, would nix just about any
full-length "warts and all" release, video or audio, from, say, post-1972. I
obviously can't claim to see into his mind, but I think he looks back at his
onstage antics in '75 and '77 and is embarrassed by what he sees. And hears.
RAH 1970 and its raw youthful energy, before he started, erm, preening
onstage, was one thing. He had no compunctions about that show being
officially released in its entirety (or almost). But I suspect he has a big
problem (30 years of hindsight will do that) with his image during what
some, rightly or wrongly, deride as the "dinosaur years."
