Documentary Film "Guitar Man" (2008)

Came across this quite by accident late last night/early this morn. Just
out of curiosity, and in between searches. I ran a basic Google search that
I've not done in yrs. I merely typed in Jimmy Page, and the usual hits popped
up. However, before I had completely scanned the first page of results, I
saw that there was a "new" entry for Jimmy Page/soundtrack/Immigrant Song.
Naturally I had to check it out.

Below is what I found, which really...is not A LOT...other than it's a
"Documentary" in production, slated for release sometime in 2008 and with a
budget
around $1,500,000, being filmed in several US States as well as Canada and
London. There are quite a few musicians, all playing themselves of course
(Well I hope so..lol, after all it IS a Documentary, albeit one without a
synopsis, and the "tagline" doesn't exactly sound like a documentary, but
whatever...like Craig Fergeson says.."but it's on the internet, it MUST be true
 ;-)

It's interesting to note, that while "Immigrant Song" is listed at least
for now, as part of the soundtrack, it will actually be played by the
musicians
listed below, as opposed to "Led Zeppelin" The musicians themselves make for
what might be an interesting version of the song.

I know I keep saying this, but I apologize if this has already been covered.
I just cannot get thru or caught up with FBO, and I do tire of reading after
awhile. Like most of you I'm sure, FBO is not the only mail I receive, nor
is Zeppelin the only band I'm interested in. I try to at least scan the
subject lines every couple of days, and I've not come across anything
concerning
this. Of course I could have missed it.

Is this a different type of permission that has to be granted by Mr. James
P. Page OBE, as opposed to permission to use the actual song off the
record/cd as recorded and performed by Led Zeppelin? I know in School of Rock,
Jack
Black or someone just asked Jimmy if they could use the song and he said ya,
sure, what the hell. NOT REALLY, but you know what I mean..lol. It was only a
few seconds of the song too. Less than a minute. Really I don't care, so I
don't know why I bothered to ask!
