Re: Crawdaddy article on Bonham in Wolfgang's Vault

sessionhough the temptation to delete it is understandable given the surgical
precision of modern recording tools. These little nuggets add life to records.

You know, it's almost spooky how I was just having this discussion with a co-worker the other day about how sterile and mechanical today's music has become. To the point of me wondering if anything can ever be reproduced live on stage anymore. And this is the exact point I was trying to get across. It's all pro-tools fault!!!! There really is no human touch left to the art of making music. And to think I just spent the past 3 hours giving another co-worker a high level gloss over of how to play with pro-tools. They had just bought a m-box mini and installed it on their laptop.... After I had gone thru some stuff with him, and then showed him my preferred prog ( Samplitude ) he looked more perplexxed than when he first came to me. So I gave him this piece of advice....

And stop trying to be perfect.
