Percy doesn't want to make his old mates richer?

I was reading posts about the upcoming Zeppelin releases on an music industry forum known as The Velvet Rope (www.velvetrope.com) this evening and saw a point I hadn't really thought of before or have seen discussed.

Could it be that the real reason Robert Plant is the one blocking Led Zeppelin reunions is because he allegedly sold his songwriting royalies to Page Jones and the Bonham estate so going on tour and performing just Led Zeppelin numbers makes them a lot more money than him?

Of course the most obvious big hole one could punch in this is the fact that Plant's been performing a healthy dose of Zeppelin material live ever since 1988 (except for the Priory of Brion fling). On the other hand, that same fact also demolishes his constant refrain of wanting to try new things (other than different middle section, the 2007 SS version of WLL as heard on Youtube is one of the most letter-perfect live versions since the original studio recording on II).

Anyway, food for thought, chatter and mindless speculation. :)
