Bonzo songwriting credits

I thought I'd post a quote from the opening message of a thread started today on the Steve Hoffman forum concerning Bonzo's writing credits on Zeppelin songs:

Perhaps the esteemed experts on the thread could offer some thoughts.

Steve.

Does anyone know what these Bonham credits are about?

*Good Times Bad Times (Page/Jones/Bonham)
Communication Breakdown (Page/Jones/Bonham)
How Many More Times (Page/Jones/Bonham)
Whole Lotta Love (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
The Lemon Song (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
Heartbreaker (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
Out On The Tiles (Page/Plant/Bonham)
Rock and Roll (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
When The Levee Breaks (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham/Memphis Minnie)
The Crunge (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
D'yer Mak'er (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
The Ocean (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
In My Time of Dying (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
Kashmir (Page/Plant/Bonham)
Boogie With Stu (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham/Ian Stewart & Mrs. Valens)
Royal Orleans (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)
Darlene (Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham)*

Those are ALL the Bonham credits on the proper Zep albums save for Moby Dick and Bonzo's Montreux because those are obvious.

Some of them can be reasoned because of the distinct grooves that only Bonham could have presented. But does than mean that he /wrote/ the drum part? That would be something that was never credited as part of the /writing/, no? Was he a lyricist at all? Did he have any melodic sensibilities? What do you think is the reasoning behind it? If it's just to throw him some publishing money, why did he not get credit for /writing/ any of the drum parts on In Through the Out Door?

Aren't his drumming contributions on these songs as significant as some /credited/ ones?:

*Dazed and Confused (Page)
Immigrant Song (Page/Plant)
Black Dog (Page/Plant/Jones)
Four Sticks (Page/Plant)
Night Flight (Page/Plant/Jones)
The Wanton Song (Page/Plant)
Achilles Last Stand (Page/Plant)
Candy Store Rock (Page/Plant)
Hots On For Nowhere (Page/Plant)
Fool In The Rain (Page/Plant/Jones)
Carouselambra (Page/Plant/Jones)
Poor Tom (Page/Plant)*

Peace Love and What is and What Should Sometimes Be? -OR- Royalties Orleans?
