Sigh,I can't believe it's 3 years already! How time flies. Big shout back....and if anyone's interested in a flashback, or is new to our list, here are my spur of the moment memoirs pretty much immediately following the big event.
http://www.oldbuckeye.com/Nechs_NYC_Moment/And some pics of us. Wowo, looking back at that all I can say is, how lucky I was, and also what a feast for the eyes and ears it was and still is. 3 years and 30 lbs less later, I still get chills watching just about any part of it. The surprises back then, are just as thrilling today. Only Zeppelin can do that for me. Only Zeppelin. Others have their favorites, but I proclaim my allegiance to Zep.
And speaking of Allegiance, I big shout out to all the folks commemorating this Memorial Day weekend in honor of those who served us. And even more so , those that are serving today, trying desperately to make this world a nice place to live.
God Bless You. And here's to Peter Grant, giver of Snow Jobs!!!! Damn, I love that show! Nech tangerineman@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote:
Well, it's just after midnight on the East Coast, May 27. A date that will forever be associated with Zep in my mind (along with April 27, September 4, June 21, 23, 25... I could go on and on). Big shout out to all the FBOers who were lucky enough to journey to Manhattan and gather "in the Presence of", three years ago tonight! Nech, Mixer, Pascal, Cindy, who am I forgetting? (Coupla milk carton kidz in there, hmm....) Let us all raise a [insert suitable container here] of our favorite [insert party favor here] in celebration! Actually I got an early start on the nostalgia, seeing the reports earlier this week of the surviving Nobs plus Zoe in Stockholm.) - M.
