RE: Zep sues owner of Wolfgang's Vault

I went to the site to buy a Zep shirt from the Fillmore West show and a
matching onesie for my daughter.

I actually don't go to the site to listen to the Zep concerts that are
available since I believe they are just Jimmy Page Exp and Listen to
this Luis which I have on CD.

I don't remember the exact wording of why the suit was being brought but
I think it was because he was selling "replicas" of items that bore the
band's images no? I don't remember it being over the recordings since
he's technically not profiting off those as they are offered for free
listening.

Of course I could be way wrong. Too much crap going on right now to
remember adequately!

I guess the lesson here is that if you are using the spreading of
unauthorized recordings to make profit in any way, that's when they will
s
tep up and do something. I think the fact that the Dead is involved with

this lawsuit says something..... hopefully someone saves all of these
fantastic shows before they will bef oreced to take it down or possibly
go
out of business. Let's face it...while people might buy merchandise
there,
does anyone actually go to the web site for that purpose? Without the
recordings there, I don't really think they would be very successful.
