I have never seen color fade on a dvd-r , but have seen it either skip

maybe you are losing some picture quality there. With DVD shrink there are
various options to use to compress or delete certain things, but still don't
think it would affect color. Could also be those psychedelic pine trees
affecting your vision.
Its definately not psychedelic pine trees, for example if you go to
youtube and search for "Ali G Ice cream glove" (the sketch I referred to)
you see these charts he wrote out and displays on an easel. When I first
copied the DVD I could see this clearly, but now all I see is white and
some dark smudges where the text should be. It is almost like a television
with the brightness set too high....it's annoying because people start
talking about the Borat movie over my house and if they never saw "Da Ali
G Show" I like to show them it and it's still funny without seeing the
numbers, but it's much better to actually see them.
As I said, the Zep DVD's that I abcked up, using DVD Shrink (which you had
just told me about at the time.....which somehow not only copied the
DVD's, it actually restored them as the originals were skipping).... but
the Zep DVD has not faded but somehow Ali G/Borat/Bruno has and it kinda
pisses me off. Pisses me off mroe that I lent the originals to someone who
I haven't gotten them back from yet.
I have never had any problems with Ridata, Sony or TDK dvd's. I know with
Memorex cdrs they either went bad quick or just gave me troubles burning.
Maybe that's the problem. Memorex is officially no longer questioned as
being live.....? :)
