Re: DVD-R question

Is this fading some sort of copy protection, is it due to the burner on my computer, or is it due to inferior DVD-R's? If it is because of the DVD-R's, is Maxel the way to go?

Most likely it is due to the fact that you didn't pay your layaway bill on your tv and they have repossed it and you are now watching it on a cheap kmart B&W tv.

I have never seen color fade on a dvd-r , but have seen it either skip ,pixxelate, or otherwise just not play whatsoever. Was the Borat from a VHS>hd>dvd-r ? If you are using a dvd copy program that uses compression maybe you are losing some picture quality there. With DVD shrink there are various options to use to compress or delete certain things, but still don't think it would affect color. Could also be those psychedelic pine trees affecting your vision.

I have never had any problems with Ridata, Sony or TDK dvd's. I know with Memorex cdrs they either went bad quick or just gave me troubles burning.
