From what I've heard of Mighty Rearranger, you may find it very accessible
and a nice change of pace for Robert. Certainly the most accessible thing
he's done since Fate of Nations. There's a lot of stuff that will appeal to
Zep fans and it has a very modern sound influenced by the trip-hop sounds of
Portishead and Massive Attack. A huge Middle East influence, too.
Dreamland is a grower -- just like Walking Into Clarksdale was -- but I
think that if you give it a few listens then you'll find a lot of buried
treasure. Turn off the lights and listen to "If I Ever Get Lucky (Win My
Train Fare Home)" and you might agree that this song yields new depths with
each listen. I think it's one of Plant's finest moments. Also, check out
Dirt in a Hole (on the UK version of Dreamland and also on 66 To TImbuktu)
and Skip's Song...
cheers,
Stephen H
