Random Thoughts..............

Its great to be back on Digital Graffiti, oops, FBO after so many years.

Doesn't look like things have changed much.

Plant/Jones vs. Plant/Page:

Given Page's problems in the late 70s, it would have been interesting to
see

this collaboration develop after ITTOD. Though ITTOD is not on my top 3
Zep

albums, All of My Love is one of my top 3 favorites. It would be safe
to say that

if Bonzo were alive, the next album would have produced some classics
with

Jones/Plant/Bonzo taking the lead. Today, Jones/Plant would never get
together.

However, a more interesting collaboration for today might be Jones/Page.
The

music of Zeppelin still flows in Jones and Page and if they can get
together,

Jonsey can do the vocals. :-)

Zeppelin Videos & Jason Peterson:

I would have never dreamed that the entire video from EC and Seattle
would

have come out 5 years back though most of us did have some snippets of
the

concerts for years. Peterson, a known crook did promise me and a few
others

a complete Seattle 77 3-4 years back and never did deliver. He didn't
even

send me blank tapes. We eventually did get him banned from Digital
Graffiti.

When I signed on for FBO and realized that Peterson was still hanging
around,

I had to write to him. Of course, he did remember me and soon told me
that

Houston 77 was coming out and that he had them! What a load of crap!
Jason,

you still me owe me from 3-4 years back - so send me the Houston video
and

we'll see if you've really changed your ways. But I doubt you have
changed.

Once a crook, always a crook!

Values of Boots:

I've been collecting vinyl, then tapes, and then CDs for over 20 years!
Do

they increase in value? It depends. The notable labels such as
Tarantura

may increase in value but that too, only the CDs that have been well
made

and are still considered the best sounding. Rare compilations/sets from

Tarantura still command a premium such as "The Campaign", "Get Back

to LA", "A Week of Badgeholders", etc. In fact, I am still looking to
get

"A Week of Badgeholders" but it's quite hard to find a seller.

Bottom line is - don't buy boots because you think they can increase

in value. Buy it if you like the quality of the recording &
performance, the

artwork on the CDs, and any nice little extras that they may throw in.

Buying boots is also quite expensive. If you live in Japan, you have it

made. Pre-order from the Tarantura/Empress Valley guys and you get

a bargain. When the dealers sell over here, the cost is easily doubled.

You really need to have deep pockets to afford all these weekly new

releases. The safest thing to do is to get CDRs via FBO or other
traders

and you can assemble a nice collection for a fraction of the cost.

After saying all this, let me see if I can get my money back on some

boots that I bought over the years and have for sale. Make me your

best offer on the following mint/near mint CDs (private email only
