Kashmir question

Ok.  I need the experts to answer this question... and some of ya'll on this 
list certainly qualify.

What I want to know is... when Zep recorded Kashmir, did they drag in people 
playing strings, or was it all synthariffic Jones style?  I know when it was 
live it was John Paul's magic fingers... but who is it on my CD?
