WBLM has played Mellenhead as long as I can remember.
I hate to sound like I am plugging my own station, I agree that WBLM is a
very unique station, however now they are just as corperate as any other
rock station. WBLM got me into radio in the first place, and I know many
of the on-air staff, and all of them agree that the station is not what it
once was.
Before I even started working at WKIT I started enjoying the mroe diverse
play list that WKIT had over WBLM. And the fact that the playlist of this
50,000 is very diverse compared to almost any playlist in the country and
is aimed towards the local audience of greater Bangor, Maine. I invite you
to tune in the WKIT on the web at www.zoneradio.com/wkit, the station does
have a very WBLMish sound, we play everything that the blimp plays, and
more......why? Because we are locally owned. Stephen King owns us, Citadel
owns WBLM and a hundred other stations across the country....
