Jean- I am assuming this replayt is on MTV2 by what you said, correct? If
you are thinking "Yes, that is correct then.... "ARRRGGGHHH" My wonderful
roomate decided to tell me Monday that I would not get any rent money, so
to save money, today I cancelled the digital cable and went back to analog
cable.......to save myself $25 a month........and then I check my mail and
I can't even see Jimmy on TV now. I was already a little upset about
loising VH1 Classic.......but this kills me. I guess that's what I get for
moving in with an immature, irresponsible idiot for a roomate.....

Bingo! They might not like right off, because young kids only like what is
"cool" The ones that DO like Led Zweppelin keep their mouths shut (like I
did when I was 10) because if they admit they listen to this stuff they
will be ridiculed to death until they hit at least high school age where
people start to have a mind of their own.......and by college people
listen to whatever the ehll they want- guys more then girls btw, many
girls are still stuck listening to top 40 radio till they're about
30......but hell, I gotta say, thaT when I have a busy night at the radio
station, the majority of the requests are classic rock songs and the
majority of the callers are at college parties. And the majority of "new"
rock songs are usually requested by women, and the ones they request are
usually the same rock songs that have hit the top 40 charts :)
The coolest requests usually come from people over 30, they don't want to
hear the same "Copperhead Road/Treetop Flyer/Kashmir/I Drink Alone" etc
that you get Night after night after night, the problem with younger
people is they want to hear the same shit over and over again, which is
why top 40 radioo is so successful. It is mostly shit; and you listen for
2 hours and you start hearing everything over again :)
In the long run, This will and does expose people to the music. I know
TONS fo people my age that never listened to Zeppelin and love them now
just because they heard Kashmir and were amazed by it only after listening
to Puff Daddy for so long.....
