Ok from what I can tell these are DVD-Rs.  They are not VCDs.  They 
are also 
not mass produced original silver DVDs.  Currently there are several 
competing recordable or rewritable DVD formats.  My thinking was if 
my player 
does not play CDRs it MIGHT not play DVD-Rs.  Luckily it does!

The quality on the Danish TV appearance is excellent.  Probably on 
par with 
the VH1 footage, and much much better than the old mirage video 
release.

The Julie Felix show does have the horizontal bars, unfortunately.
