There is a great review of the San Diego 1975 show posted on the
Tight but
Loose website.
http://www.tblweb.fsnet.co.uk/100375.html
I did not write the review I only submitted it to TBL.
I met the reviewer at a record show when asked me if I was a
Zeppelin fan.
We started to chat awhile and he mentioned seeing Zeppelin in SD 75
and at a
few of the LA shows in 77. He had a vivid memory of the shows and
was even
able to quote some of Plant's comments to me. He knew things only a
seasoned
fan would know about a 1975 Zeppelin show. He even mentioned an extra
encore of Heartbreaker and was certain it was played. The details he
remembered were
incredible considering the show was some 26 years ago. According to
him it
was the best concert he ever attended in his life! Even better than
the
1977 shows (6-26-77 and 6-27-77) he attended. He had no bootlegs, no
mailing lists or fanzines, and was essentially without any Zeppelin
contacts. I invited him over for an afternoon and was his first
exposure to
bootlegs. He was simply amazed. I ended our visit by putting on the
exact
show he so vividly remembers. Needless to say he was blown away. He
left
with some goodies from me and promised to write down what he
remembers from the show.
Well he ended up writing a long review and I was really impressed
with what
he wrote. I told him the San Diego show is often overlooked and he
basically wanted to get the review out to the fans.
I hooked him up with a few shows myself and he immediately bought a
copy of
Rey's book. He is interested in possibly getting a boot collection
started
and would be interested in doing some trading or B&P with anyone
willing. I
was hoping maybe some of you out there could help this guy get a
collection
going.
Here is his address if you are interested or would like to pick his
brain
further. His name is Chuck.
