ok, just chiming in on the thread, as it had me thinking back, and i
still
get a laugh;
years ago, (12/30 and new years eve, 1984, acctually) i had tickets
to see
aerosmith for the first and second time in my life. i had been a
huge, HUGE
fan of thiers since i was in second grade listening to my 8track
cassette
player, now i was a senior in high school, and finally i was going to
see
them play a small theatre in boston. anyway, my friend bob came over
on the
day of the 30th; he had just bought "destroyer"at a record shop in
boston,
and we smoked many fatties and listened to the whole 4 lp's, one
after the
other and then headed into the show. needless to say, dont EVER
listen to an
album like destroyer, and then head into any rock and roll show, no
matter
how much you love the band, no matter how hard that band might rock.
aerosmith bored us silly that night, and i debated as to wether or
not i even
wanted to go the next night (i went anyway)
ALSO
now, i dont know if this is making rounds or not, but i will gladly
seed a
tree if someone can do it. (i dont have the time or ability)
robert plant at the orpheum in boston. i saw some offer from a
minidisc
source, and maybe thats making the rounds, it might sound fine too,
but
believe me, you'll want the copy i got; taped in the front section,
with
schoeps microphones (if you dont know, they run a couple thousand
dollars)
acctual lineage is Schoeps ccm4's>Aerco>SBM1>m1.
this 2 disc set is unfucknreal in the sound quality. will gladly seed
a tree,
or, if needed, start a few permanant vines.
best regards
