I am deeply prejudiced against Bono for his cruel and idiotic 
diparagement
of Kurt Cobain's suffering and suicide, which he made in an interview

read in the Toronto Star four years ago, on the eve of their 1997 
tour.
But in spite of my aversion to Bono's irritating stupidity and 
fantastic
conceit, I do like some of U2's music, a few of their songs I even 
think
are very beautiful.  I haven't heard their most recent music, not 
even the
Beautiful Day single; i did find the music of their '97 record bland 
and
uninspired, as I think many did.
