I agree with you 100%. U2 hit it big back in my high school years.
Only the girls and guys that wanted to be girls got into them. The
rest of us couldn't see why they were becoming so popular. But I do
have a theory. Many in the elitist press have alleged Led Zeppelins'
dealings with dark forces for their success. Of course, they quickly
glanced over their unquestionable musical talent and quality of song
writing and performing. But these scribes of cultural awareness fail
to mention how acts such as U2, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Backstreet
Boys and the like could have made it without quality of material. The
only way acts like those could have achieved success was to sell
their souls for Satan's services. Again, it's just my theory. But it
does explain alot.
