I'm here Michael! Just came back from a 3 week holiday in Wales and
Scotland....

I must say I can't say much more than you on the subject, it was the
60's and it was
France so your explanation is what I would come up with as well. I
was only some
months old when it happened so I'd have to find someone older to tell
me but I don't
know anyone who could. Maybe try the "Hexagonal Experience" book? I'm
too lazy to
look it up :-)

I'd say that this is from the interview with Burroughs. I remember
being stuck by
that last phrase ["Rock music can be seen as one attempt to break out
of this dead
soulless universe and reassert the universe of magick."] even though
I read it in
French. That's so exactly what I always thought.

Incidentally, that interview also triggered me to visit Boleskine
House (or rather
to check it out from the road) back in 94. Actually I was there for
the second time
last week... but I was more on the tracks of Nessie :-)

Oh and Eddie: The Limelight is a very nice place. I've been there in
98. But why in
August already? ;-) I just spent a week not so far away from Crewe
and even was
there last Saturday coming down on the train from Edinburgh.. I'm
doing something
wrong here: on the day of the last event I was on the Isle of Skye
(bit far away
from London) and now this ;-)
