Wow! That's some pretty complex stuff %^) Why not surf on over to
http://home.att.net/mkw/mkwact.html and download a copy of the mkw
Audio
Compression Tool (mkwAct). It's free, and no scripting is required.
Built in checksums as well.

OK I'm really serious this time in trying to learn how to do this SHN
thing (after seeing the current tree announcement). I've read the info
on the site at
http://members.tripod.com/~rimeswel/shnguide.html#whatis_quick
so at least I now understand how it works (I think).
Very Basic question: Do I have to buy Shorten from
http://www.softsound.com/Shorten.html or can I use one of the
evaluation
versions? There are two evaluation versions available: Shorten for
Windows 16 bit evaluation, and Shorten for Windows 32 bit evaluation.
What's the difference? Or do I download the etree setup program that
is
referred to at
http://members.tripod.com/~rimeswel/shnguide.html#whatis_quick ? It
looks like this program contains PCP Shorten, MD5 software, registry
editor, and icons.
Told you I had basic questions! If someone can help me out I'd
appreciate it!
