Relax there, just because they were advertised as Zep fans doesn't mean that
it brings negativity down on the group... to intelligent people, anyhow.
People who say "Oh that hard rock music made them do bad things" just wish
that they could understand what we do. And what if it gets exposed? Worse
stuff has happened involving Mickey Mouse, Beavis and Butthead, and Marilyn
Manson... but if anyone had sense they'd know who was at fault... the people,
not their pastimes.
Hey, the news tends to come down on video games and heavy metal for all the
shootings in schools we've had recently... but nobody ever said the news
tells the truth all the time. Hell, if the news told more about how kids get
tormented by peers and ignored by administrators rather than the fact that
they listen to Manson or Zep or play Doom or Diablo, someone might be able to
help them. But then the news would have nothing to show, and putting the
spotlight where it belongs would get them in trouble with the politicians.
Christ, I got into a topic I didn't mean to get into. Silly me. In any
case, let the TV blame Zep (did they even? I didn't even see this) and let
people figure it out for themselves...
Kat, the rambler (who knows about this sort of thing being this age)
BTW, people my age don't get teased for liking Zep--Zep, the Doors, and Floyd
are back in style so all the rock teens have a field day buying patches and
stuff. I sorta hate it, because people expect me now to dye my hair blue and
wear all black... it's another trendy clique thing and frankly it gets on my
nerves...
