I remember when I went to a showing of '"The Song Remains The Same" movie 
back in the late '70's. While it didn't get as crazy as the scene you 
described, I do remember that the thater management made us wait in line in 
the lobby until about 5 minutes before the movie start time. Everyone was 
complaining and commenting within earshot of management on what a bunch of 
crap that was and in retaliation to our complaints, when the movie came on 
the volume was literally turned down to where you could barely hear it. 
After repeated hollering towards the projector room to turn it up, it became 
evident that our request was not going to be granted. The audience responded 
by tearing the room to bits. I have a very vivid memory of these huge wall (& 
ceiling?) tiles being thrown around the theater and broken into pieces. The 
movie was shut down, the lights came on and we all left before the cops could 
get there.
