I don't believe that model of Philips cd recorder is available in the
US. However, I own a different model Philips recorder. My experience
with the company has been horrible. Their customer service department is
the worst I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. It took them almost
three full months to get me a working replacement for my unit, which
suffered from a manufacturing defect which they knew about. Instead of
contacting everyone who bought that model (CDD2000 - they had our
addresses from the US$200 rebate we all sent in), and telling us about
the problem, they let us figure it out on our own. They way I figured it
out was by wasting about US$150 worth of blank discs. While the
replacement has worked well, I will never buy anything from Philips
again.
