Think about it: "I Believe" is one of Robert's most personal songs, and all
that fallen warrior imagery is right out of his repertoire. Second, can you
imagine _anybody_ telling Robert Plant, "We're going to strip you down to a
loincloth, put flowers in your hair, and float you in a pond with all these
Japanese paper ghost ships...." and having Robert take it seriously? It
_had_ to be his own idea. The mingling of images from different cultures is
also typically Robert.
I _think_ the concept of the video is returning the fallen hero to the
elements of earth, air, fire, and water. Robert just made an extremely
unwise choice for the water imagery. Japanese ghost boats yes. Robert on
the half-shell, no. Jean
