Well I have listened to the CD on a very high quality Nakamichi stereo
and the mix has definitely been messed with from what I
remember of the bass in the BBC stuff being played on the radio years ago,
of course then, it was the seventies maybe they screwed with the mix back
then
and this mix is closer to what it sounded like in the radio studio?
IMHO the mix has been altered and I think tunes selected to accent/highlite
the drumming of John Bonham. Granted there is no MD or other solo stuff,
but all of the tracks seem to have extremely tight drums takes.
Thoughts,eh?
The gong is a riot in WIAWSNB, I think it was the first time or close that
they used it
at a gig.
