Well it depends on what you consider selling out. I don't think Wearing and
Tearing is a sellout by any strech of the imagination, but is cutting down
Whole Lotta Love for radio play a sellout? Is listing How Many More Times
as a 3 minute song instead of an 8 minute song (as it actually is) selling
out? These were things they did to get air-play, but thats the nature of
the business. I know of no instances where Zep blantantly compromised
artistic integrety to earn another dollar.
Is selling your song to Microsoft for millions of dollars a sell out? (oops
wrong band!)
Does anyone remeber the Flipper (the movie) commercial with Dread
Zeppelin's version of Bring It On Home in the background???
