I am part of both of the above groups. I belong to this "upper circle", I
think.(if that means being friends and trading pals with 100's of people
who own Zepp tapes?!)
And I did buy my tapedeck at the Wiz (an F-ing awesome Yamaha KX-W952
double deck, already mentioned on these pages.)

But I gotta admit Page-kid, I've never turned down an offer from a
newbie.If he needs some new tunes to float on, I'm always willing to
trade. Worst thing that could happen is I get an extra "blank". Your
purpose of raising a roar succeeded though...

And then Shiny lovable Tom F, defending the common trader:

" I doubt I'll ever be in that 'elite group', but who cares. Sure
the tapes might be marginally better, but I can live with what I get from
the average trader."

Tom's sentiments ring true. In an ideal world we all have two Naks ( I
only have one). In a good world, we have adjustable recording levels. In
an "I love to trade, and love my Zepp,and money's
tight-but-gotta-hava-tapedeck" world, you trade as often as possible, you
make mistakes and learn from them, and then sit back (or jump around like
crazy, like me), and enjoy the tune that strikes the ear.

Quick live tingle moment thing...Plant doing "If I were a carpenter". Am
I the only one that feels kinda sad that Plant's FON era career ended way
to soon. Definitely the very highpoint of Plant's "solo"(w/band) stint
was late 93 tour. Words, can't describe it...just  listen. 

Would anyone actually even be interested in a Plant 93 tree? I got some
goodies.

A final note, we can call this place Dardo's List if you guys
want...huhuh,uh no,uh ok

P.S. Zepp Tattoos Rule!!!...on other people!(just kidding Steve...I
actually have a Zepp tattoo, too. It has three musical notes on it and
their uh, uh hmmm, they're the first three notes of "Stairway", yeah,
that's it. They're Stairway notes. Of course they're not even close to
the musical staff, they're kinda floating, and my wife's name is actually
there sorta inside a heart on the staff instead..but, uh yeah, yeah my uh
really cool "1st 3 notes of Stairway tattoo is like, uh..  cool).
