Tingle This

Hi Lighters and Shaders,

My favorite tingle moment is when she takes her long fingernails and
cu...ooops,

wrong tingle moment!

Zepp-wise would be difficult, all moments are magic in my (rose-coloured)
eyes. Favorites always include,
Achilles.TenYrsGone.TSRTS.W&T.Tangerine.SIBLY. That's the
Way.Rover.Ocean.Wanton..oh this is silly,I could go on and on and on...

Solo career-wise, I do have some particularly goosebump producing moments
(just to prove it to myself I was jamming the following tunes this
afternoon, and there they were...those tingle-y moment things, so it's
really true, really).

Page:

"Take A Look At Yourself" - not only a gorgeous guitar melody, but also
some pretty sincere "love-song" singing from David. Who says these guys
didn't create magic?

"Blues Anthem" (If I cannot have your love...)" - just a simple blues
riff, with the basic sentiment felt through the ages,"If I cannot have
your love, I'll sing the blues".So sad.

"Live in Peace" - The song is cool, the riff is all Pagey. The tone, the
twang...it's classic Jimmy. Especially at 3:53ish through to the
emotional 4:07. Just makes me weep.

Plant:

"Just Like I've Never Been Gone" - Even though he's singing about a
woman, I can't help but think that he's talking about his Rock and Roll
career. Very touching.

"Colours of a Shade" - as to what purpose it served to not put this on
the US release of FON, no one willl ever know. This is by far the best
song on the album. Beautiful.

I'd like to up this thread just a notch, there are some songs out there
that are a step above tingle, the ones that touch you so deeply you truly
are weeping. Not to be Mr. emotional crying man or anything, but I am one
who feels the tugs at my heart during almost all truly emotional songs. I
never go to movies, hardly ever watch TV, no newspapers or books (except
the Good One), so except for collecting the occasional comic book, music
is my number one form of entertainment. I'm really into cranking up a
super sweet riff drenched in fierce feel and emotional tone, gets me
every time. Any other really really really emotional songs out there? You
men can answer, too.

For those keeping track, my WLL single is number is 2757.

For those of you who care, I'll be at both Jane's Addiction shows on
October 30th and 31st at the Hammerstein Ballroom in the city...one of my
favorites from '87 to '91.

For those of you who noticed, did you see that Steve "all I ever post
about is wanting more, more, more stuff" S. actually got a P/P tattoo. Bold

Did I mention Dread Zeppelin were hilarious a couple of Fridays ago. A
very entertaining evening spent with Mr. Williams, doing "The Claw", very
fun.
