4) I just CAN'T BELIEVE we're gonna bring up this whole "name the list"
thread again! I've had it with all of you!

Agreed on this one. C'mon, guys. The Ocean is a pretty cool
name, even if it wasn't my personal choice. The important thing
is what we ARE, not what we're called.

Actually, I thought it was extremely tasteless for Elton John to re-do a
song
about Marylin Monroe rather than write a new one. Isnt he pirating
himself??
( kind of seems like recycling love poems from an old girlfriend,
dontcha
think?)

I also have to wholeheartedly agree here. I was talking with my
mother about this the other day, and I had said something like,
"How nice. He just came out with a new album. Talk about easy
publicity." She said, "That's not the point. That was Marilyn Monroe's
song." It was just then that I realized that by what Elton John did,
he has robbed the song of meaning for either person. That's
	really too bad.

But then again, I'm biased when it comes to anything DIO does. The Evil
Elf
is right up there near Jimmy Page in my personal pantheon of Rock Gods.

This post is turning out to be just a series of "me, too"s, but I
have to agree here as well. Cheryl sent me a tape a couple of
weeks ago containing about six choice songs from throughout
RJD's career (since I had never heard of him before). She made a fan
of me. He's now joined Robert Plant and Paul Rodgers in my list
	of favorite hard rock singers.
