Wooohooooooooo!
Well here we go for the first, and hopefully not the last time.
A big thanx to everyone with great websites and a better understanding
of the english language than me. You are doing a great job "getting out
the ZEP!"
Another thanx to Buckeye. I couldn't have found the sites without your
excellent page (why the dnaco.net server seems to be acting up a little
bit today I have no idea).
Todays lyrics are for a song that clocks in at 4:20. The final salute
on the second album. Won't you join in when I try to......
BRING IT ON HOME
(Jimmy Page & Robert Plant)
Baby, mm-baby
'M gonna bring it on home to you
I've got my ticket, I've got that load
*Join up, goin? higher, all aboard
(Got up, gone higher, all aboard)
Mm-take my seat, right way back, ooh yeah
A-watch this train roll down the track
I'm gonna bring it on home
Take it on home to you
(Bring it on home to you)
Watch out, watch out, man move
(...Matt Murphy(?))
(...make more room)
Try to tell you baby
What you tryin' to do?
Tryin' to love me baby
Love some other man too
Bring it on home
Bring it on home
Went a little walk downtown
Messed ?n? got back late
(Missed you, 'n got back late)
Found a note there waiting
It said, "Daddy, I just can't wait"
(And it said?..)
Bring it on home
Bring it on ho-oo-ome
Bring it back home
Bring it back home to me baby...
Tell you pretty baby
You love to mess me ?roun?
(You love to mesmerize)
I'm gonna give you lovin', baby
Gonna move you outta town
Bring it on home
Bring it on home
Sweetest little baby
Daddy ever saw
I'm gonna give you lovin' baby
I'm gonna give you more.
Bring it on home
Bring it on home
Bring it on home
All right
Bring it on home
Bring it on home to you
* I just recently "got" this particular line in the song and I believe
it to be more accurate than previous suggestions. If you listen
to the first letter it's more like a "j" than a "g", and there
is clearly an "i" sound in "goin'". If you disagree let the list
know about it :-)
All lyrics are transcribed without permission from anyone except my
mother.
If you have any objections let her know.
All requests are appreciated for next weeks lyrics.
Until then....
Have Fun, Rock On!
