In my opinion, this all stems back to Zep getting bashed in the press early
on. They still had a big word of mouth fan base, but how much bigger would
it have been with a few more Rolling Stone cover stories? Zep has never had
the following of the Stones, Beatles or even the Who. But like John said,
thier music stands up, as seen in these yearly polls. That is a testament
in itself.

But that leads me to the question: Who cares? One of the main reasons I
_hate_ the Stones is all the media attention and selling out(which could
just be a perception of mine). I'm glad Zep never really got 'packaged for
the general public' and remained semi-underground, or at least less popular.

I agree. P/P is not Zep, I hope they get tons of press, tons of exposure
and sell 3 songs for commercials to use. I hope they sell out big time and
get over exposed. I'm not being sarcastic in the least. If that happens
hopefully new fans that care to will discover a whole body of kick arse
music and carry on the tradition.

NZC: If anyone cares, or is still reading, I will be gone till Sunday, so I
will respond to any and all mail then! :)
