How in the world can you say John Paul Jones dosen't add much??!!  Have
you ever really listened closely to the uniformity of Led Zeppelin?? Now
granted, there are bass players who maybe one on one are better, but...
When the 4 became one there were none who could match them as a team! 
One the whole, Robert Plants career nor Page's took off very far from
leaving Zeppelin.  When JPJ is/was a part (a very vital part) of the
awsome team of Zeppelin there is, was, nor will be anyone who could/can
take his place.  The ease and inginuity with wich he played the bass
while a member of Zeppelin is unmatched by any other musician in the
world.  No one can truely take his place at the side of Page and Plant. 
Its the "Magic" they make together... not apart.
