Methinks Best Buy is also one of the reasons why the American release was
delayed a week. I think it was done so the CDs could be shipped with the
"special" interview disc.
For those who don't know, the Best Buy set comes with two disc sets cases
(1 the BBC sessions, 1 the interview disc) inside a slipcase which matches
the cover of the BBC Sessions cover. The back of the slipcase has the
listings for both the Sessions Discs and the Interview disc. The BBC
Sessions case was wrapped just like you would expect if you were buying it
alone. The interview disc did not have any shrink wrap.
The back cover of the slipcase lists "Distributed by Masterson USA, Inc
..." So it looks like Atlantic may have delayed North American
(relative to other parts of the world) so the CDs could be sent to Masterson
and then re-packaged.
Were the Tower Records bonus discs packaged with the BBC Sessions disc or
separate? I think I remember seeing a post that the bonus disc would be
coming later. If the discs were packaged together at Tower too that
would have factored in as well probably.
