Re: best guitar/bass/drums of all time



I always seem to find the idea of a "best" guitarist/bass/drums/whatever
interesting.  How can you actually say who's the "best" guitarist or
whatever.  This subject is too subjective to answer correctly.  Unless you
have heard every musician and know everything I don't think you can say
who's the best guitarist or any other musician.

For example:  I know someone who at one time thought that Kurt Cobain was
the best guitarist out there...because he knew more chords than many
other "alternative" guitarists.  This is often the logic used in many of
these polls.  

Okay, maybe I've been spouting off but I personally get tired of the
who'se the best guitarist/bass/drummer arguments.  I guess than if the
word favorite was used instead it woulldn't bother me as much.

Okay...enough spouting off.
