In connection with the upcoming release of an early Robert Plant single by
CBS, he recorded at least two singles for them in 1967. One was "Our Song"
and "Laughin', Cryin', Laughin'," CBS 202656, and the other was "Long Time
Comin'" and "I've Got a Secret," CBS 2858.
There are at least seven other Robert Plant pre-Zeppelin songs
professionally recorded. "You Better Run" and "Everybody's Gonna Say," US
single, 1966, Columbia 4-4967 (artist given as "Listen"). A Band of Joy
demo from 1968 containing "Hey Joe," "For What It's Worth," and "Adriatic
Sea View." And on the Alexis Korner double vinyl "Bootleg Him" (Warner
Bros. 2XS1966), 1968 session released 1972, "Operator."
If anyone knows of any others, I would be interested in obtaining copies of
them. Jean
