Why the abuse?

Ron you are right that I should not lump people together over there service.
It was meant to be a joke. I do have serious criticisms over the way AOL
conducts themself. I won't publically discuss the issues, but the best way
to express my opinion would be to say that they have a problem in the way
they allow people to post to their discussion groups. They need people like
the person who ran the last list we were on to "moderate" their discussion
boards.

>From what I've seen of AOL, someone can create phoney account names, create
and spread lies, harrass people and when complaints are filed to AOL over
this behavior, AOL does nothing about it. It is this type of practise on
AOL, that in my eyes makes AOL (the organization not the subscribers) an
accomplice to the dirty deeds. AOL values the practise of protecting the
privacy of a subscriber who uses there services for unlawful purposes over
someone who is victimized. That is what brought out this outburst.

I do have a solution to help "educatate" these AOL people who do not know
how to unsubscribe. We should get everyone on the list to e-mail these
people directions on how to unsubscribe. It is a coincidence that many of
these unsubscribers do have AOL account names.

I also did comment that I know some nice people on AOL as well in a previous
post. I do not have a hate towards AOL subscribers. It is the way it is run
that I question. A lot of us complained about Zerxes way of running his
list. As much as we like to believe that we can run a list without having to
have posts censored, I have come to a conclusion that some of the boards on
AOL, definitely need someone like him there.
