Yes! Good old Anthony Violanti of the Buffalo News, music critic who
doesn't know his ass from his elbow. My friend Greg and I were at this
show, and we stayed and watched them tear down the stage until roadies came
and told us we had to leave, so we *knew* WLL was not played. I read the
review and couldn't understand what it was about. Could he have come back
out and played a secret encore *after the stage was torn down and everyone
had left*? I called Cindy Chan the Zeppelin Fan at 97 Rock (some of you may
have met her at Zepfest in Niagara Falls) and asked her about it, and we
came to the conclusion that Violanti was a clueless moron.
I actually suspect that he wasn't even at the show. The review mirrored
the notes in the tour program very closely (still have that item
somewhere). The program noted that WLL was being played as an encore.
However, towards the end of the show fans rushed onto the stage 2 separate
times, both times grabbing or bumping into Plant before security tackled
them off the stage. I believe WLL was supposed to be played, but the show
was cut short due to the stage-rushing fans. A wonderful example of the
journalistic integrity of Mr. Violanti. Is he still hacking for the News
Grant? Chris G.?

Doesn't surprise me in the least, journalism in Buffalo being what it is.
Quite a funny story though! Talk about egg on your face...I wonder how the
reviewer ever lived that one down. Probably has a 6 figure job with Rolling
Stone *cough cough*.
Yours is no disgrace,
