Oops! Did not mean to offend. Maybe I should have realized that none of it is
your "Cup of Tea" - so to speak. Mea Culpa!

Joanna,
Actually, it's those political articles that make me loath it so much.
First of all, and bottom line, I don't subscribe to Car & Driver, Road & Track,
Sound & Vision or Home Theater to read political articles. So why should I get
a magazine that is supposed to be all about music, only to have the centerfold
always about politics? Politics should be in political magazines, of which
I'm sure there are plenty.
Second, from what I've read, I don't consider them to be very informative news
oriented articles anyway. The political articles in Rolling Stone are not much
more than left wing radical rantings of opinions. Which side of the coin you
are on is your choice, and I'm not going to deny anyone that, but these
articles are so ridiculous it's annoying. I certainly don't need to read some
BS from a right wing KKK member bashing people he has no clue about, nor do I
need Matt Taibbi force feeding his blatantly socialistic liberal opinions on my
brain. The latest one has him already bashing John Boehner before he's even
had a chance. Where was Matt Taibbi when that total nut job Nancy Pelosi was
there? Probably reporting she's the greatest speaker this country has ever
seen.
Third, Rolling Stone is so biased and unopen to even moderate opinions, that
they only publish positive letters received. No doubt it's because those 5 are
the only positive letters they get, while the 1000s of others are all saying
what a crappy rag it is.
Forth, Matt Taibbi is a jackass. Just my opinion of course. ;>)
Please everyone, don't turn this into a political thing, I just don't want
politics in my music magazine. I wish Rolling Stone would stop sending it to
me. As it is it's just contributing to the land fill problems in this country.
Now..... back to LED ZEPPELIN.............

Dear Kurt,
Absolutely NZC here, but do not give up on RS.
My approach is similar to the old lie many Guys used to offer about being
caught w/Play Boy magazine: I only read it for the articles.
This may not be your interest area, but the Political articles & the
Interviews and Bios are some of the best out there.
Bias Alert! I just skip the teen age heart throb & bimbette stuff & most of the
Hip Hop/Rap stuff.
Then I always read the Top Lists to remind myself how truly Old School & out
of "it" I am.
